Members that are eligible for Health & Welfare benefits receive medical, dental, vision, and short term disability.  There is also the opportunity to continue parts of this coverage even after retirement. 

These plans allow members to carry benefits from one signatory employer to the next.   The current medical plans have hour banks, allowing benefits to continue for up to six months, depending on what plan you are a part of.
